Apple Nano or Microsoft Zune 4gb?

i like some jazz, but i dont own much of it.

I own more acid jazz and trip-hop than i do classic jazz.

Just 1 comment...I picked up a black zune from woot and absolutely loved it except...with the way I plug in mp3 players to my TV (A/v connection), the zune was SIGNIFICANLY quieter than my ipod video, and still quieter than my nano. All the settings were fine and I verified this with my home speakers too.

All the settings were fine and I verified this with my home speakers too.

I do not have that problem.

It is as loud as when i listen to a CD, but i have it plugged into the dock and it goes into my home stereo.

It doesn't sound bad...I am not very familiar with the different genres.

It is pretty jazzy; more regular old people jazz than acid jazz.

I'm assuming anytime where the player doesnt use its own internal power (i.e. my ihome), this is irrelevent. However, for certain in car applications this could matter (mine).

I have both the video ipod and 30 gig zune and the Zune interface is faster and easier to nagivate through songs , albums , artist etc. The only drawback I see with the zune is that just about everything that is out there is made for the ipod

I was reading some reviews on Amazon and seems to me the biggest drawback on the Zune is the software you have to load on your PC. That and being stuck with the Marketplace music and not seeming to have a vast selection of music.

I am gonna have to think a little harder. Seems the Ipod is easier to run on the PC, but I just don't know if the Ipod will hook up to my deck like the Zune would.
