Apple Nano or Microsoft Zune 4gb?

Well I am still not very efficent on this technology to be honest with you as I am still buying CDs. Well I figured since me and my fiance are working out a lot as of late and we go a lot of places I would look into getting one of these. I got to keep the limit down below 150, so these are my options unless there is something else competitive, which I don't think there is.

My question is, what would be better as far as sound quailty and ease of use? This will be my first MP3 player. I know sad huh? Anyway, what would you pick and if you have one or the other what are your likes and dislikes? I am gonna be getting 1 or the other by tomorrow night more than likely.

Also do you know if either one connects to a Pioneer PRS-880?(Lost my stupid manual) Like I said, I am old school and still use CD's. Hell I hardly burn cd's and just go out and buy them at full price, eek!

Not a misprint.

They have had all three colors for about $100 on various websites for the last few months.

They never seem to last long, so if you want one i would buy it while you still can.

It will work with your deck as long as you have an aux input. I use mine in the car.

I use the zune rip all my CDs to my zune and i get music downloads from amazon. You can also get unlimited access to a lot of music from the zune marketplace for like $15 a month, but the music stops working when you stop paying, or you can buy songs for .99 cents each from the zune marketplace (and they never stop working).

I think the brown zune is cool, i wish i had brown but i got a black one instead when they first got really cheap.

One of the COOLEST things about the zune is the ability to add music or podcast over wifi. I come home and the zune automatically adds the newest podcast and any new music i have. You could actually leave your zune in the car if you have a dock in the ride and it would sync from the garage.

You can get the songs from zune, but the software is slow on my computer. It is faster and cheaper to download them from Amazon. Zune has this thing called DRM....when you first get your zune you get 14 days to download any music you want. But then the DRM kicks in and your songs are worthless. In effect, get the songs from Amazon or steal them if that is your preferred method.

The Zune has software to upgrade it's capabilities. Because my computer is old, it doesn't have sufficient memory or processor speed to install the new upgrades ( you have to install the program to your computer first)

DRM is not a zune specific thing. It is widely used, but you can easily strip the media of the DRM and keep it forever. It's not that hard really, but it can take a while if you have a ton of music.

podcast are like audio programs. I get all sorts of news programs, mostly NPR because i am a nerd, but you can get sports, entertainment, or podcasts about anything.
