Although not my cup of tea, I can see how someone could get interested. It's somewhat better than the music I listen to, which is an assortment of random songs and skits someone, somewhere thinks will sell well.

The "alpha couple" is a man and a woman who share a not especially happy life together in Florida. They are in love, perhaps, but it's a love filled with bitterness, anger, sadness and alcohol. It's a relationship that continues as much out of spite as anything else. Or as Darnielle sings in character during a dark, bluesy rocker called "See America Right", "If we never make it back to California I want you to know I love you / But my love is like a dark cloud full of rain that's always right there up above you".

Or in another song: "My love is like a powder keg / In the corner of an empty warehouse / Somewhere just outside the town / About to burn down". A love based on hatred: is that an oxymoron? Perhaps, but it's exactly what Tallahassee dives headlong into.

How can you not like something like that?!

I know i'm eccentric, but i just find music like this more interesting that most popular music.

At least i'm not a wigger.

I remember there was a day when I said I listen to Common and Nas and people didn't know who they where so I wasn't a wigger. Now, I guess I am by default. The thing about is, I find myself searching for new music by looking in the past.

I just bought my zune yesterday. I got the brown 30gig. The SQ on it is amazing. It may just be that the earbuds that come with it are 10x better then ipod ear buds but it definatly sounds alot better and seems to play bass alot smoother then the ipod. I love the fact i can use my own backrounds and such. And it seems alot easier to actually set up then the ipod was with itunes. I would recommend it over the ipod any day

i find that my music purchases are split about evenly between old and new.

With a lot of the bands i like i never find out about them until they have been around for a long time (often i hear of them after they have broken up) because they are so wildly unpopular it takes a while to disseminate to the point that it is accessible. example - the mountain goats (although they are still putting out music).

The rest of what i buy is bought on the spur of the moment because it is catchy or i find it interesting. Example - Klaxons

Well i would keep checking newegg, they keep going in and out of stock.

Also you can keep an eye on http:// http://forums.slickdeals.net/forumdisplay.php?sduid=0&f=9 there will be a post about it if another vendor is offering them for cheap.

That is why i urged bigbang to buy one quickly if he wanted one.

Hopefully he took my advice and has his ordered already.

What I find myself doing now is trying to finding out the original in a sampled song. That's what kinda got me into Jazz.
