Anyone let Best Buy/Circuit City install their system?

Well I just bought my first sound system and need to get it installed. I dont feel confident about installing the products I have myself and was wondering if anyone here had had any experience with Best Buy or Circuit City installing their systems?

they installed my alarm. It went back about 4 times in the first 6 months because they did a bad job. Its all about location though honestly. It just depends on the rep at your bb/cc. The one where i live, is shitty installs.

I took my car there for an alarm installation. No issues at all. Worked quickly and well.

As far as putting in a basic system goes...its hard to screw up if you know what your doing and have experience.

As far as an alarm goes. Our senior installer (24 yrs old) has like 8 year of experience putting in alarms, so he is very good at it.

The rest of you are right, it all depends on the location, but EVERY location should have someone who is really good at putting them in. Its just half the time the seniors let the younger guys try to do it so they can get the experience that everyone needs.

my friend just got a type r installed with a rf amp. they really Fu**ed his trunk up. First off his amp keeps turning off and on and they didnt put everything back in place. His trunk is missing clips that hold alot of wires in place and they also hold the trunk pannels. I told him that he should have let me do it but he didnt trust me. His car was an 06 Charger.

It was Best Buy. I would rather do it myself, no better feeling then when you do it yourself and know you did a good job.

Best Buy installed my stuff.

But I spoke with the shop and found out who was the head/supervising installer and went on a day he would be working..

and I stayed the entire time.

I also checked over ever inch of the car when they where done..

I definately wouldnt trust every Best Buy installer...
