anyone know bout Audio Legion?

Too many people like to complain for the sake of hearing themselves speak.

Im fully aware of what im getting myself into. I have been around this hobby long enough. I bought crescendo at dirt cheap prices when the Bc line came out. That worked out fine. Im also not expecting magic, ill have good electrical so the amp will get a fair shot.

Of another note, ct and rd failed more so due to poor business practices than anything else. Rd tried to cut corners on the 3250 v2 despite the v1 being a good board. CT was using boards with known issues that werent addressed. Until we know the integrity of the AL people, it is a stretch to lump them in with those companies. Conversely, we cant exactly expect cs to be on par with Jacob, Rusty etc... if i smoke an amp, im accepting the fact that there is a chance of warranty issues

I just bought an s6 edge from BestBuy for 1$. Does that mean its worse than higher priced phones?... No its just now an outdated model. AL doesnt have to pay for 2016 zenon amp designs. All of these boards date back to at least 2013.

Maybe i shouldnt have bought this phone

If it's a Verizon phone I'll offer you 100$ for it.... .or do you mean you got it for "1$" with a 2 year contract but will have to pay 500$ if you bail on the contract? Apples and oranges there, and none of these far East amps are "new". New class D designs are coming from Zed, JL, Alpine, etc. (people who do R&D) and you're paying accordingly.

Also the life cycle of a phone is like 6 months then obsolete. The far eastern class D amps are using very old technology and for all intents and purposes they still hold up just fine for the vast majority of consumers and assuming you don't destroy them they should be performing well enough 10 years from now.

Just so long as you know the risk associated with the savings. Legion may be the next Sundown, but you won't know until we see how they handle things that come up over the course of time. What about those Diablo amps. I hear they have some awesome prototypes. Plenty of people were on those bandwagons and got bruised up when they crashed.

The infuriating part is that the guys who are trying to save a buck because they can't afford to drop Sundown, Incriminator, or DD pricing are the least able to eat the loss and move on if things go sour.

I've actually been very impressed with how AL has handled things thus far. I know it's not a very long track record yet but they've definitely started out on the right foot.

I can afford sundown and dd. I was looking at scv3000s and m3c's. Still opted to go this route. Ive already ran sundown and dd and honestly wanted to try something new. Saving a few bucks was a plus.

Like i said, i know the risks.

On a side note, its funny that someone in this thread speaking negatively was just vouching for an amp 2 days ago that is a chinese version of a korean layout. Guess they pick and choose when to be high and mighty about quality

hope its good stuff. Im so sick of seeing over priced stuff and trash on the market.
Well the components are Samwha brand. Doing some research shows that they are not considered high grade caps. They are better than capxon, commonly used in car amps, and better than chinese and taiwanese caps. But they are considered average for korean caps.

Part #s for those who want to investigate

Samwha 160wv 1500uf (85 degree rating)

Samwha 160v 220uf (105 rating)

Samwha 25v 3300uf (105)
