anyone know bout Audio Legion?

I ordered the 3500 a hr ago. Soon as it comes in I'll do my little review. If it passes a few test then it will be impressive for the price. I have my new alty I need to install and a another g32 battery. Total of 3 batteries. Hope these new xfls hold up lol.

I'm running the fsd3800 (basically same amp) on my 2 xfl's and they are humming along just fine.

My 3500 arrives tmrw. The reason they are priced so competitively is that they are using open tool boards and just beefing them up. For example the3500 is spec'd as a Zenon 3800 and the Flatline version (fl2) did right around 3.8-4k. The AL has beefed up caps and fets does 4.5k.

The 5000 which is specd as 4.8k is board. The Crescendo

Encore version does 4.5k while the AL does 5.5k. Again, stronger than stock parts.

I did a lot of reading before I bought one. The 8.5k is also the Ts 8.5k/tfe etc. I couldn't confirm but the 6.5 is likely the ts 6.5k.

They don't hide the fact that they are just beefing up existing Korean pcbs

Just curious where did u find that info?

So was fsd the same boards with just beefed up parts? Or is that audio legion?

The FSD boards are stock Zenon from what I understand. For example the fsd3800 will basically do 3800.

Talking to suppliers and people are AL, looking up Zenon and s&i pcb's etc

On a side note, now that dynos are continually showing Crescendo to be the weakest of the forum boners, I think people will begin looking for a new competitively priced Korean brand. Synergy, Audio Legion etc will likely cut into Crescendo sales especially.

bullshit. parts in electronics go from cheap to expensive real quick.

same capacitance different tolerance different voltages. cheap amp= cheaper parts.

Go to Ali baba and price 100 units of any Zenon or s&i board and you tell me if an upgraded cap is something that can be afforded

Nonetheless the jury will be out on these until they pass the longevity bench mark. How will it like .5 daily for a year or 2?

if a amp is cheaper than a similar amp chance are the one that expensive is very pover priced or the cheap one is very cheap.

i could order some amps for korea with the same boardss but cheaper parts and they will do the same output but they wont last and wont sound as good. there is no magic here and its all common sense.

its not just caps. its transistors, caps, resistors the build quatitly of these parts and the tolerances as well as how over built the amp is etc..

the sundown amps are priced for a dealer network and are still substantially cheaper than the big name brands.

i've looked into everything car audio.

what the THD numbers? what the dampening factor? whats the noise figures efficiency figures etc.. im all for properly priced stuff but sundown 4000 does close to 5k, remember one is factory direct and the other is dealer network. how much does a kicker 2500 cost? now how about that 3k sundown?

There are people out there that will buy sundown no matter what. Then there are people looking for an alternative like Crescendo, Sq etc. People will always look for alternatives. This amp isn't for the sundown user. This amp is for the other segment

Well the ts will do 4.7-4.8k below 1%, I'd say that's pretty acceptable.
