Also don't shit in your cave. Don't make a mess in your hall, you'll have to pay for it. On that note don't make a mess in someone else's hall because then they'll have to pay for it and may retaliate against your hall... Swear to god. It happened my freshmen year. The total damage for the other dorm was upwards of $10,000 after the first SEMESTER. They wrecked a TV, a washing machine, and broke the SAME window 4 or 5 times.

This past year I lived in a dorm. Yes get flip flops for the shower. Make sure to put somethin on the toilet seat; lysol, toilet paper, etc. As for the room, mine was 10 x 13 and I had a roomate. Make sure yall learn each others boundaries and yall should get along. And do get out of the dorm as much as possible. First semester I stayed in my room and wasnt social. Then I realized I needed friends so I began to meet people. Overrall it was a great experience. I have an apartment now and have transferred schools (Texas, who would pass that up?). You will have fun if you make yourself do it. Good Luck

Wake up 3am one night and go a few floors up with some fishing line. Make a loop on the line at the end of the hall and put it on the farthest door handle...go across the hall and zig zag appropriately..

It's even funnier when somebody tries to walk down the hall and doesn't see the transparent line and falls over...

**** 8AM, I had 5 730s first semester nga.

And another tip: get into something that you like very early on. I enjoy boxing and other combat sports, and I met a good 8-10 people some of whom I am living with this year by just going to the gym on a regular basis.

Wear Shower shoes everywhere. NO matter how clean shit looks, it's not. And don't join a frat. If you want to drink beers and act like a douche, drink beers and act like a douche. I disagree. I know many people in frats who are doing just fine. I personally don't want to put up with a bunch of bullshit to be "accepted" by some people, so **** that.

Ive found that you have to measure perfectly and cut out wall studs if you want to get your keg to fit perfectly between one dorm apartment wall and another. This really helps when the cops show up to your apartment and have to ditch the beer quickly.
