anyone else have the same issue as me?

I had 4 sa 15s. I now have 4 obsidian 15s. Great subs price considered. My issue is that the coils go thermal right when you get them to the right volume. I always got the sa's slamming but had to turn it down. Now with these obsidians they of course don't handle the thermal power as well as the sa's but I'm just wondering if anyone has had this happen. Is it me? Am I spoiled? Used to stupid loud bass and trying to get away with cheaper woofers. Do I have a taste for champagne on a genesee budget?

hey ur not too far from me.

im guess ur clipping the subs because 1200rms per sub dosent thermal a sa. you should have mechy failure before thermal on a sa so you have to be clipping...
