Any mini-truckers on here?

I would do bags with a daily driver, but definitely not a $4000 paint job or a body drop. The air rides better anyways.
Yep, air rides very very well even on a minitruck with skinny tires. I just knew many people that had decent air jobs, but they always had problems. There would be random small leaks they'd tear it all apart to track down, sticky valves, frozen valves in the winter(water trap sometimes helped). Bagged and juiced rides are so much fun but without a backup vehicle the assurance that my truck will start and drive safely every time is what I more important.

my buddy would LOVE you. He is die hard oldschool. He had a 72 Datsun and we put some Nissan engine in it, 2 plugs per cylinder, sorry I dont know much about imports. Had roof cut off, body dropped, juice, whole frame redone, tons of shit. Was on minitruckin Carlisle pics twice. It was orange. Now he has a luv.

I had a 98' ranger lowered and miss it soo much- but the wife won't let me buy another right now (new baby). Someday I'll be back in a minitruck, I never stop looking for a new one.

I just recently bought a 96 4 door S-10 Blazer so I grabbed one of my brothers mini-truckin magazines from inside his house to check out lowering kits and roll pans and what not...

It's the March 2007 issue and their first official club profile is of Acrophobia... and has that same truck as cover pic of the article... just a different picture... taken on the same trip tho it appears as everything is the same other than background street signs

weird...

If you dont know what is involved in a body drop, just sell it now! If you DO know, and are willing to do it, and do it right. Then go for it!

It varies GREATLY depending on how low you want the body, what type of bodydrop (traditional, stock floor, tunnel...), vehicle, size of wheels...

It's not something you either 'know' or 'don't know.'

Every truck is different, in this aspect. You do need a pretty good knowledge of the intricate details of certain systems, though. Last time I cut one up, we had to pie cut the hood for it to close, buy a MUCH smaller brake booster and remount it, hide the heat system up under the dash, change the mounting points and lengths on the pedals...

And put some bucket low back seats in.

Personally, I wouldn't bodydrop a truck unless I was going to the doors.

PS:

I'm looking into picking up this suburban.

nice looking burban, but if you get it, get some different wheels and paint the bumper to match tho.

ahhh...i wish more people were into bags and bodydrops back in the late 90's. i remember bagging my s10 in high school in '97 and then a body drop in '98.

i was one of the few bagged rides at heatwave in those years. there were only a handful of us from around texas...probaly like 40-50 of us out of 200. people were still into hydros and bags were pretty new technology.
