any ideas on (2) 15's

I am looking for any help on 2 15's that i wanna get for my blazer...i do not want a wall...just a simple CRX style box with subs facing up and ports toward tailgate...i didnt know if to go with slot ports or aeroports the pvc circle ports..i like those they look cool..maybe 4 will be cool...i was thinking of going with 2 JL 15w6v1's no idea what amp...something that is 1000w rms...if you have any ideas on what subs and amps to get for my ride let me know...its just for daily driving..no competing...but i want it to look nice...just need a new box, subs and amps and some wiring..i am good with alt, battery, 4 channel...doors..dash..HU all that is brand new...just need some nice subs and amps to make it all nice..thanks for the help.

i'm in athe same boat as you lionel... but i've decided between brahma's, xxx, or orion h2's... (all 15's.).... but i might end up getting just two L7's and save some money.... but you have more room in your car then i do (got a 2003 Honda Accord 4dr)... so i'll have to be creative and shit...

i was thinking of XXX or DD myself...i really like the 9515's from DD and the XXX too...but i have no idea where to get them besides the websites...i have no DD or RE dealers near me...But DD said i get 20% off or something cause there are no dealers in my area or maybe it was 10% something like that..i know its $191 for a 2512...no idea what the 9515 is...prolly like 500 something...i will email them now and ask...as for the XXX...i know they are monsters too...i figured that 2 15's have more cone area than what i am running now 3 12's...by about 10% more...i just like big woofers..lol...and an 18" just dont look good...i like multiple subs...so 2 15's would look sweet....but hey..maybe to save alot of money...just keep everything i have ...and just get new subs....get them JL's out and put in some XXX or DD 12's....9512's or the XXX 12's

maybe we should rename the thread..swapping for new 3 12's instead...cause if i was to get 2 15's i would have to get a whole new box..and my box now was totally custom to fit my blazer...so many people have 2 subs...i just wanna be different and go with 3 12's..man i cant make up my mind...i dunno..what you guys think?? 3 12's or 2 15's??...if i was to go with the 3 new 12's say DD 9512's would i have to upgrade say any wiring or can i stick with what i have or maybe would i have to get like 2512's...cause i am running 4 gauge from batt to block to mono amp...and 8 guage to block to 4 channel...i am using the biggest wires my amps will handle...and i got a price on 3 DD 2512's they are $600 to my doorstep..not bad...they are all new..75mm of excusion...then again 2 15's would slam hard...but my buget is limited..looking for about 250 per sub...the DD 2512 seems like a match...as for 2 15's i need something low watts like 2 JL 15w6v1's something like 400w rms each..cause my amp only does 850x1 @ 2 ohm or 500x1 @ 4 ohm...3 dual 4's wired to a 2.67 load would get me the most power....but them DD require alot of power like 500w rms each...my amp will put out prolly...800w rms and 1700w peak to those subs...running a little warm on high end...any ideas add some more info..3 12's or 2 15's still thinking...much appreciated...thanks

what 12s do you have now? If you wanted to go with 95 series or XXX woofers you would for sure have to get a new amp and new wire 0/1 guage. Atomic, audioque, american bass are other subs you overlooked or never heard of an they are cheap and do the job nicely.
