I agree with 3.5Max6spd and add to run your wires to the amp under your carpet.

Curious, did you get enclosure volume advice from someone, or from the owner's manual, or just a good guess?

The Kicker manual said between 1.25 and 3.5ft per sub, so I took the measurements of my trunk and made the biggest box I could with out completely filling the trunk. I came up with roughly 3.3ft for both subs.

If I were you, just seal up those holes and drill out the speaker wire out of the sides or back of the box for a cleaner look before you carpet

I did that right after I made this thread. It does look a lot better and its ready for carpet now.
