any better or worse?

im thinking about taking the spare tire out of my 3000GT and firing my subs up towards the hatch. would this be any better or worse SQ/SPL wise than firing the subs back?

We cant tell you, you need to try it... But I dont reccomend ditching the spare tire.

firing up in a hatch back will increase spl dont know about sq but if its in the right enclosure it shouldnt sound bad

I would relocate it, rather than be stuck with a flat tire some where.

i drive a 3000GT. the car weighs over 4000lbs. the spare tire they gave me is like a bike tire for a 5 year old. that and, i dont even have a jack right now. plus, who gets flats these days anyways?

I ditched my spare in one of my cars and regreted it down the line when I was on the way out of town:furious: . Your stereo system wont help you when you have a flat or blowout:eyebrow: .

If you have 18" rims and an 18" sub, you could bolt the sub on in case of a flat.

Thjat was a joke by the way. Don't get rid of the spare. I did that once and regretted it for awhile.

if you do biuld your box using yourspace the spare used, relocate the spare, i did and **** glad i did

Most of my 'system' vehicles Ive built over the years lost their spare tire along the way.

no joke, im going to take out my spare tire from the trunk and just put it in the backseat. if youve ever seen a 3000GT back seat, you cant even fit your fist between the front and back seat, and no one ever sits there. i was going to just put my seats down and put the box there but it would be too dangerous. i figure ill just put the spare in the back and then if i ever need someone to ride back there just take it out and hope that im fine for that trip

like i said, the spare tire is like a bike tire, its like 2 inches wide, so itll fit back there with no problem
