Ordered a HU and Profile AP1000M amp on Monday and got it today. Took the amp out and found out a screw was missing for one of the speaker terminals. It was also missing a high to low converter so I called them and 2-3 minutes later (on hold for 15 seconds at the most) they were overnighting me a new amp because if they sent the parts out by itself, it would take 5-7 days. Also, Profile gives you a 3 year warranty instead of 1 year for buying from Crutchfield

A minute later I found the screw on the ground (not sure why it was loose in the first place) and I called them back. 1 minute later and the CSR canceled that amp shipment and made a shipment for my high to low converter. I dont need it in a hurry so thats why I canceled the amp order.

word... most places woul just laugh at you and if anything make you pay to send them your amp back first, and then 6 weeks later send it back with a screw

That's why you pay a little more...for the customer service and authorized dealer. If there's ever a problem it gets fixed ASAP. Convenience and peace of mind is never free.

meh i dont buy from Crutchfield because of the price of everything. Customer Service doesnt justify higher prices imo. As a company your supposed to provide service for the products you sell

Crutchfield helped me get started with stereo installs. These days, I'll buy a head unit or amp from them for the free tech support/ harnesses/ HU mounting kit, and get speakers and other stuff from a cheaper source. Crutchfield does have good sales ocassionally. Usually when a product line is being discontinued they will discount their inventory, sometimes 50% or more.

Remember when they sold off all of their Quart amplifiers?
