pretty tough on the kid dont you think? didnt ur mom hug you enough growing up. i mean i see where hes coming from. alot of places see 18 yr old kid and say stfu get out. at 24 i get respected alot more now then when i was 18.
and on top of that it probably is similar to why married men let their wives take care of stuff like that. once a man gets punked out hes either going to kick your *** or cut his losses and say **** it. a woman will keep fighting and fighting until she gets what she wants. and in general people are probably more likely to want to help a woman than a guy.
Wow. No, I do NOT think I am being too hard. There is a point where a boy becomes a MAN and learns how to handle things on his own. This is generally called being an adult. My mother is a great mother. She has always been there for me when I really needed her, but she also, along with my father, showed me tough love when I needed it.
For example, when I was little I loved John Deere tractor toys. I purchased one from a local guy who made them and sold them at a school event. I took it home opened the box and one of the duals fell off. I was rather upset since I was probably only 7 years old. So, my mom drove me to where his store was and sent me in. She told me, "You are old enough to buy things, you are old enough to return them". She gave me some pointers on what to say and after a while of talking to the guy he gave me a new one. What did I learn? I learned that I can take care of myself, which made me feel proud. The issue really wasn't that the toy was broken, the issue was that I was took. So, I had to figure it out and fix it myself. Which is a great way for kids to learn self respect. Today, most people's moms would have gone in and taken care of it for them. What does the kid learn? If I cry mommy will take care of it for me. Bull Shit.
So, again. NO I AM NOT BEING TOO HARD ON THE KID. At 18 years old he should be able to take care of himself. If not, then he might as well go kill himself and save us all another burden on society. That is all he is and most likely that is all he will ever be.
Oh, and men who hide behind their wives are just babies. Simple as that. If they can't stand on their own two feet see above fix. /themselves.
