MTX Thunderform question

this box has 2 tens in it and it says the box has 1.5c.u. i was wondering if it is the whole box that is making up the 1.5 or is it the subwoofer cutout making the 1.5.. the reason i am asking is i think its hollow all the way threw from one speaker to the other and I want to put some phoenix gold rsdc in the enclosure but want to make sure it will work. I hope u guys understand what i am trying to say
