It's ok, see i know what happened, stuff like this happens in real world not on the internet.

1. you said look at this stupid post, imma call him out and get my e-penis enlarged

2. you double checked my post count to make sure i was below20 million post which

further proved i couldn't know what i was talking about.

3. You told me i was wrong an called me out, allowing you to continue on thinking in

your mind that you really do know it all, and gained some e-cred for calling out a

"nooooooob"

4. you were wrong and still are so all your efforts were in vain.......now stfu
wow. i made a statement, and your e-vag got sandy.

get over it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

you got defensive, i was not offensive. please look again

look at your post again.......and then your reply. It doesn't matter whatever, i just deal with people like you all the time at work, and have to prove them wrong as well. Even after you prove someone wrong, they won't backtrack to admit they were.

sorry for the postdumping in this thread.... but i really think that it COULD be the problem, not saying i know it is.

please put me on your "ignore list" and i'll do the same. since you are easily offended //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

btw partially blown = blown but i'll let it lie.

ignorance is bliss for some i guess.....wasn't offended.

didn't say it wasn't blown, was using that as an example.......it can't be completely blown if it is still letting trace current through.

straight up, have the kids mom go in there. even if hes like 25. whenever i have a problem with something my mom goes and *****es and works the manager and always manages to get me money back and shit for free and the problems are always solved. moms work magic like crazy
Wow you are a ***.

Grow up, let go of your Mommy's hand. You are 18 now, you can take care of things on your own.

i'm only 18. nobody respects ppl my age . my time will come lol
Not if you are 18 and still hold Mommy's hand. Your time will never come.

it's either blown, or not. no half-way point
Wrong. But, nice try.

so i can half-blow my fuse? so then it'd be 150a instead of 300a? did you mount it on the exhaust manifold?
i know evevything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Wrong, and you obviously don't know everything.

Sometimes when you expose a fuse to a lot of current it will heat up. When it cools the metal becomes more resistive. So, in a few cases you can actually end up having a fuse be a resistor in a circuit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

STFU!

i had one (blade type) blow and the plastic melted and refused the metal together so.....not entirely true

That sucks. Heat FTL.

You guys seem to be arguing semantics. Whether or not the fuse is actually "blown" as in broken, seperated, and no longer working at all, or simply not working up to its potential that the owner needs, isnt it still "blown."

In other words, if its not working right, regardless of how it looks, its blown so imo Jco is correct, its either blown or not, even if it does let a miniscule amount of current through it.

Thats JMO though.

you guys make me lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
check this link please... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm
Yea try to cover on it now.

This is what people do when they are wrong and want to cover it up.

"uhh uhh well guys I was joking"

OR

"uhh ummm well it was just sarcasm"

OR

"You guys make me lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif check this link please ..."

Don't cover. Admit you are a dumbass and we can all move on.

you are right, but it agitated me when i was ask if i mounted the fuse on the exhaust manifold, as well as i hate someone attempting to talk down to me. I can admit when i am wrong.....and my end of the argument is over.

Blown is not an correct term anyway. So, how it is defined is irrelevant. But, in my opinion I have always used and heard the word used as when the circuit is open due to the metal being melted or "blown" apart.

I have never heard it used when the fuse was resistive. I have heard partially blown, damaged, fried, etc. But, blown would be incorrect for a resistive fuse.

BUT, who the hell really cares because it might not even be this guys problem. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have had a fuse get water on it while in my "waterproof" holder. This caused the fuse to corrode a little and it worked when it wanted to. Sometimes it would not work at all, other times partially, and other times perfectly fine. So whether you want to consider it blown or not...just check the fuse -- and don't just look at it through the fuse-holder.
