Another Best Buy story.

Point is, They shouldnt have all the accessories in the install bay. All the fuses, wirering harnesses, install kits and everthing else that wasnt a sub or amp was in there. Some one had to go get one. Thats poor planning on the stores part. Maybe if the put them out for ppl to help themselves, this wouldnt be a cluster**** thread.
And acually it was an agu style fuse. And yes they carry them, but not the 100 amp one i wanted.
like circuit city:)

edzy have you ever performed an install you cant always drop what your doing and because the guy ended up bleeding im gonna guss what he was doing might have been dificult

edit: you could have gone around to the customer entrance

You should have gotten your fuse, that much should have happened, but either the car salesman should have talked to you or vice versa and called the bay/a manager with the key. Or you should have patiently waited for help from the installer if you insist on his help with a sale.

Remember, most BB installers cant even open the friggin door. So you should have talked to a salesman, who should have been out in the car area, whoi then could have called a manager to open the door for you. I buy small stuff from BB all the time when im in a pinch... fuseholders, rca splitters, speaker wire.. the like and have never had a problem. And they have a whole car audio accessory section on the floors with all that stuff.

you could have gone radioshack and just picked one up like that.

Your not an idiot from wanting service to someone who doesn't require to give it, your an idiot for going to BEST BUY.

seriously dude. cmon.

100%, but thats not a reason to ignor someone. I waited till he was walking near the door to get his attention. I wasnt banging on the door as he was all up inside a dash and shit. He could have called for a sales person to come over. or said sorry, I cant help you now, or come to the back door, but he said and did nothing. even when i found the TV kid, he dissapeared for like 5 minutes to see what he should do, and came back with a manager.

I waited paitently, cause I figured being saturday night, he wanted to finnish and get out. maybe they should post signs on the door saying please speak to a sales person for products inside the install bay, or go around, or shop somewhere else cause we dont give a **** about you. But his actions were rude and unexusable imo.

And trust me, my buddy has told me all the horror stories with customers being at best buy.

I've dealt with plenty myself. Its really a tricky business to be in. I dont know how many people I bent over backwards to help, who then tried to **** me over. Now I just dont help anyone anymore besides maybe throwing someone a free atc fuse.

Like one guy, I helped troubleshoot a simple cd player problem for him for free, trying to keep people happy and coming back to us. His trim ring is attached all messed up.. whatever I pop it off. Well he accuses me after of breaking his trim ring and making his radio look like hell. I look at the back of the trim ring, and its all chewed up and he responds " Oh yeah I had to take a dremel to the back of it" well, he took off the bottom tabs so he knew it was jacked up before I even tried to help him. he was hopingto take it to the superior and get a free radio.

Ive seen peopel going as far as b reaking their own cars t otry to chisel the install bay

I did go to Radio Hack first, another store called Bennys, a car parts place, and finally BB. these are all local, like 5-10 minutes drive.

im sure he could have been a lil more polite but from ur op you sound like every other impatient ahole. now dont get me wrong i wasnt there and im not saying your an ahole but we tend to get a ton of customers like that and at some point you gotta say f***it and get your work done

btw what location was this

the new one In Mansfield MA.

And I wasnt in a rush, I waited all said and done like 15 minutes in that store.

The TV kid was as helpful as he could be. He didnt know what to do as it wasnt his department. and nobudy else was working the car audio area. Like I said, I knocked, he walked away, So i figured sure hes busy, and waited outside looking at products for a while, then when I seen him walking by again I tried to get his attetion, when that failed I went to the tv area and asked the kid for help to get the fuse.

meh i dont know any one from that location so i cant realy coment. but w/e where ever you go there will be good bad and just plain lazy employes. it just irks the hell out of me when people put all bb installers into one group i work hard to be good at my job. im not saying he was right but i can definatly understand why he acted the way he acted.
