Any advantages to rooting a droid 1? No longer under warranty so if its worth it might as well......what site do you use for the rooting programs?

Yep, there's an advantage to rooting any device! Speed! Customizability! I just googled "*insert phone name* root" and poked around to find a tutorial (luckily there was a youtube tutorial for me!). It was a long process, but easy and absolutely worth the time invested!

I'll put it to you guys this way...I work with phones 40hrs a week, and I have NEVER been as impressed with a phone as I have been with my rooted Inspire. That's not saying there aren't better rooted devices, because there absolutely are. But from what I have experienced, including jailbreaking iPhones (which makes them slower and less stable usually), this phone is in a whole different league. Quad 4 processors in phone will come as early as Q1 next year by Motorola. Prepare for abysmal battery life. The Atrix was an exception for dual-core battery life only because it has the largest stock battery in a cell phone to date.
I believe we are still in Q2

Droid Bionic will likely be like any other Motorola...unstable as a man riding a bull with a jalapeno in its ass, but with specs to drool over. I have not played with a rooted Motorola yet (will be rooting my buddy's Atrix real soon here), so I can't comment on it's stability after rooting. I had HUGE hopes for the Atrix, and was severely disappointed by its performance.

You probably haven't had any issues cuz they are rooted. Base Motorola's SUCK, period lol. I'm excited for what my buddy's Atrix can do when we root it!

couple my buddies got 2700-2800 out of theirs. not too bad for single core. Im running a nice stable rom/kernal with decent battery life. Not trying to go insane on the benchmarks.

They have the samsung wave 2 over here that is f'n amazing. Too bad Verizon isn't GSM.....
