so upon searching the site for "android", i found a couple threads.. I wouldve thought there wouldve been 100.

So, how bout the china decks? I suspect im gonna hear "JUNK!" but has anyone here actually touched it? or even owned one?

I need a new HU as im tired of ****** sound from a LOC to my sub amp. im not going for sound quality record trophies, i just want the thing to work, and sound ok. i seen reviews online, but i wanna hear reviews from people that take time to actually belong to a car audio forum.

That said, heres what im considering:

The "coolness factor" is pretty nice, so is the price. Def a bonus its direct oem fit.

Check out Avinusa.com.. I'm running one of their headunits and I'm liking it.

I installed one in my Charger a few months back.

I ran an OttoNavi Android Headunit. It was OK at best. The Avin unit is smooth and has tons of features.

It's not a top of the line HU, but it's better then other android based HU on the market right now.

thanks for the tip. i researched their HU on the bmw and mercedes forums.. Tommy was always on top of it, handled all questions that were asked.

there were lots of good things said about the HU, so i finally ordered mine yesterday morning. Its nice it fits in dash like oem, and no wiring harness needed.

Head unit arrived in 4 days(shipped form cali to pa)

couldnt be happier. pretty fast os. id say (without benchmark) this is just on par with a galaxy s4

everything works as expected if you own an android phone

order my model spefic to my crv, everything was plug n play.

overall, ive had the unit installed for 2 days now. i like it.

also, there "may be a discount" if you ask.. you dont know if you dont ask right?

Any updates? I just got a link from Tommy from Avin for a new Beta update. Going to install it later today and test it out.

Also if you want a Custom Boot up screen. They are not that hard to make. I made a few Dodge Charger related ones for mine.

after 2 1/2 months, i still really like it. i havent ran into any dislikes other than the bluetooth ODB2 has to be synced after every turn of the ignition.. i use it to watch voltage most of the time. the instant start up feature is fkn awesome. the china decks like Joyous does a full boot every time you turn the ignition.. then takes 45 sec or so to hear tunes. that would get old pretty quick..

I havent heard anything from tommy about an update
