AMps rear channel cuts out

So I installed a new kenwood 4 channel amp and new RF rear speakers. I started to tune the amp and as soon as I turn the gain on the rear it cuts out and thats at only half volume. Front channel works fine. I had the same issue with my RF amp and it blew because of it. Why would it only do this for the rear channels? Speakers are 4 ohm.
