I Hate the Tarheels
So recently my amps completely shut off just riding down the road. I have put a DMM on both my sub and component amp and the amps are receiving power and sit @ 14v. There is no power light on or protect light on and it happened to both of my amps. Both ground wires are secured tightly.

I am just looking for any help or ideas for what could be causing this.

Thanks in advance

Yep sounds like a remote. You can use a little 1 foot wire as a jumper from your power wire and make sure your amps work. Remember by doing that the amps will not turn off untill you unplug the jumper. Its just ment to check your amps and see if you have a remote problem. Another thing to check is your ground. I may be tight but is the area clean of paint, is the wire the same size as the power wire? When you check your voltage are you touching the wire or the set screws? If there is insulation in the way it wont make connection. Check any fuse on the amp and your remote wire. Hope you figure it out, thats about i all got
