So then please show us how you have your fronstage setup. All that needs to be true is that your mids are mounted on the doors to prove my point. Other than that no amount of EQ will fix issues you have based on those predetermined xover points and overlapping accentuated by your cars acoustics- EQ is a bandaid, not a tool to fix phasing/xover issues.

As far as hearing differences in cables , YOU try owning two high end audio businesses, and have the passion I had while doing it often staying late nights and weekends just listening off the clock, and see for yourself.

My mid bass are aimed up and back towards my dome light on custom mounts .... FAR from off axis. My tweeters are also NOT off axis.

Ok...this thread has been brought to my attention by a good friend of mine.....THANKS!!!!!!
Though the 9255 is a great H/U and a great bang for the buck, it is far from the best sounding...and to be honest the user interface sucks and I would take a P9 or a 701 any day of the week as far as ease of tunning....

What is funny to me, is that you seem to have all this exp with these ubber rare H/U's...and to my knowledge very few of these have ever made it to the states..Hence the Mx4000,Mx5000 and the Panny Tube...and you seem to have had them all? If I was a betting man, I would say that this 9255 was your first nice H/U and that you've not owned the mx4000,mx5000 or panny tube or have listened to any of them..

Back to my original intented point in this thread ..... Before all the underage idiots showed up , as well as well meaning people who spoke before thinking ...

Amps that are marginally more expensive than the XXK series , without going to the lengths of Tru and Brax .....

Some ways I'm leaning are .... Audison , Arc SE , Zapco ( probably not ) , DLS , ect ....

I'm looking for amp suggestions up to $2000 ..... Not uneducated opinions on my current system.

Can you link to another comparison with the DRZ? I've seen that linked numerous times, but never been linked to any other reviews. I really wish the P9 had been included in the ECA HU showdown, as it is by far the best comparison I've seen on high-end decks.

On topic, Genesis amps are probably the best value in the true ultra high-end. They're significantly more expensive than DLS, but in another league in build quality, footprint, and *arguably* SQ.

The new Zapco digital amps are notorious for noise problems. I think they've updated them, but a lot of people have had a great deal of trouble getting them noise free.
