I cant get power to my amp.

Here's my setup at the moment.

With the second photo where it says amp remote. Thats the one out of the back of the head unit. I did have it connected to that but no luck. I now have it connected to the iso one that was originally connecting to the amp remote in the back on the head unit. Can you please explain why im getting no power please?

I cringe looking at exposed non covered up/unprotected wires. Unless its under construction then I understand. But, once this problem is figures out, please cover them up!

1st pics shows no connectors for the power/ground wire going to the amp...and just straight wires, Not good....tho it's doable but will benefit you down the road spending less than 5 bucks for a few proper terminals to the amp.

I can see the blue/white stripe that says remote turn on.....should go directly to your remote on the amp.

Another thing to check...your ground. Must be completely clean and metal to metal. No paint/rust/corrosion in between.

Lastly, RCA's sometimes go bad. If that's the case, try another pair see if that will work.

Another thing...check fuses. You might have blown a fuse w/o realizing it. That's a simple fix.

Ok now I see the amp pic again.

I also see a battery pic....and some corrosion on the battery post/terminal. Scrape that corrosion off good and clean. It will cause the amp not to power on.

You need a ground to the chassis.....I'm betting that's why the amp won't turn on.

Hello,

I still can not get any power to my amplifier, power light will not come on. I have now instead of grounding it. I have connected the ground wire to the negative of my other cars battery with the positive and remote still connected to my battery/headunit. But still no power. Using a multimetre there is a current coming from the Remote and 12v. So the remote and power are working fine.

Please see photos;

Just because the Power light isnt present does not always mean that the amp is not working, but that it may be possible that the lamp could be burnt out, in which may not effect the performance of the amplifier. I have an old Alpine Duo-B 3525,and the power light needs to be replaced, but has still performed for me just fine for the last ten years. Might see if it works hooked up to your speakers/sub to see if it performs at all since you have determined that you have power from the source.The ground location for the amp isnt a good solid ground by the pics presented,as well as the Battery post connection looks as if it needs to be cleaned

/reomove the Oxidation, and freshen up/clean the post connection as well,will help for a better connection.Have you checked to see if you have any power off the Terminals with the DMM as its powered up?That would be another test before hooking up any speakers to be on the safe side..I generally try a speaker onall post to see if Im getting anything at all
