4 RCA Output HU: 2 Sub & 4 Ch RCA's?

My head unit has 4 RCA outputs and I'm running a sub and a 4 channel amp how do I run it?

find out witch is front and rear and sub.

front and rear go to 4ch amp.

sub goes to sub amp.

I think hes asking how he conmect 6 rcas to 4 pre outs. Y splitters.

I ran sub on rear and split the front L and R to the L and R sides of the car.

I had 9wire and had it high input but the rca's sound alot cleaner

In a lot of cases the rear HU outputs are switchable rear/sub.

If you set them to sub you'll have a few sub controls from the HU -- sub volume, maybe a crossover.

If you have that option you should run the rear/sub channels to the sub inputs and the front pre-amps would connect to the 4 ch using y cables.

If the HU is NOT switchable - it doesn't make much difference whether you run the rears and sub with y cables or fronts/rears.

Rears are switchable. OP, looks like you already have it wired correctly. If you haven't already, switch rear output to sub.
