Hello, i was wondering if the rating on the ample audio a226x amplifier at 4 ohms bridged was very accurate? Its rated at 350 Watts but i just blew a 15 (o yea powerbass, but still...) on that amp. Thank you for your replies.

Powerbass c-sql 15, it was rated for 400 r.m.s. 800 max (now questioning that rating)

they are pretty good amps if i recall the guy that started crossfire went off and started up this company too. did you have the gains turned up?

i have the gain on my amp matched pretty decently its about half way, no bass boost on. Straight up fried the coil on my sub though.

1.5^3ft. sealed, but i had it mounted inverted playin out of phase if that makes any difference?

not really either the amp clipped or it puts out more power than rated

Just because the gain was up halfway does not mean it wasnt clipping....

Did you set it with an oscilloscope or Jmacs tutorial?

i dont have an oscilloscope and i dont believe i ever read the tutorial, i thought you were supposed to set the gain as close to the signal voltage as possible (5v pre-out=5v on the gain) right? But i didnt have any audible distortion until after my coil burnt up.
