amping speakers

yah i think i got the idea how to do it, but im just making sure... do you run the speaker outputs from the hu to the amp's input.. then one of the channels to a speaker, and since i got 4 speakers, i would need a 4 channel amp?? lol, idk but thats what i think it is...

If you have a stock HU, then you need a line out converter. This will change your signal to RCA cables. RCA cables plug into you amp, and speakerwire goes out from there. Yes, a 4-channel would amp all the speakers in your car.

What exactly are you looking to accomplish?

Upgrading you HU will help as well, but a 4 channel should do the trick.

ehh i got a avic n3 so no way im going to change that, is it ok that the speakers are component speaks( i think thats what they are called..the ones with the tweets)

sorry, for some reason I thought it was a stock HU. Run some RCA's from the back of that bad boy to the amp. Doesn't matter that they are comps. Actually, as long as you have the crossovers it doesn't matter (some cars, like my old VW, have an amped system stock and did not need the crossovers that came with the comp set).

you think a 400 watt 4 channel amp is going to cut it, i think my speakers are rated for 150 but i just dont want it to get that loud

IIRC, those Infinitis aren't going to take 150 rms.

Forget about max power, what is the RMS rating? What amp did you have in mind?

ehh poop i ment the rms is 150...duhhh btw i the speakers are crossfires.. idk about the amp,this is for my bro, i just do all the work, for him and he saves money by not bringing it to the shop...lol he is the one with the $$$...lol\

what do you recomend bc he is going to say audiobahn, like all his other poop, (subs and amp) ughh =[
