amping my speakers...advice please

im getting a new amp sometime soon and i was wondering sould i keep the amp i have right now after i get a new one and just run my amp to my speakers or is that stupid??

before i got my jeep the whole infinity stock system went out cuz of the amp.. so i had to re wire the whole car so that the speakers would even play sound ,its all under the interior in the jeep and the speakers all run under my seat where my amp is at.. if that makes any sense.. would it be easy to hook my speaker wire to my amp since the four speaker wires are all in the same spot as my amp?

would it be stupid to power your speakers with an external amp? definately not.

k good, i seem to sound like an idiot in all my threads im so new at this.. so sould i do that ? would it be easy to hook it up or would that be to much power in my car i dont want to blow anything

Takes a little time but not really hard to do. What amp and speakers are you running? what sub amp are you running?

a crappy one at the moment..Lightning Audio, "The Fast And Furious" part #FF150.2, 450 Watt 2 Channel Car Stereo Amplifier

2 6.5 audiobahn speakers in the front door panels and 2 power accoustic 6.5 in the back doors..

how would u hook up the speaker wire to the amp? or would i have to purchase anything else like if i hook it up

The amp will have a +- Left and +- right, and if it's a 4 channel amp it'll have two sets of left and rights. One for teh back and one for the front. The speaker wires would go in their appropriate places.

if i wiring my speakers to that amp it wont blow them most likely cuz its not a very good amp right?? will it make it louder and more bass??

It will only blow them if you do not set the amps gains properly. You will most likely have better sound yes.

Yeah depending on what HU you have now, and what amp you are going to use... you will see a difference... depends on those factors though, as to what kind of difference to expect. My gf currently has a JVC kd-500 or something like that... and I used to run her speakers off deck. I had an old rockford 200a4 lying around, so I threw that in... was a pretty substantial difference. Most decks put out like 15 - 20 watts per channel... this little rockford amp puts out 50. Big difference. With her 7995 going in this weekend... the difference should be huge again.
