amp wont turn on

using a DMM do these two things:

1. DMM black lead on amp negative terminal, DMM red lead on amp positive terminal - what is this voltage?

2. DMM black lead on amp negative terminal, DMM red lead on amp remote turn-on terminal - what is this voltage?

if you touched the wires before you connected them to the amp, then that shouldn't have caused the issue.

have you done this yet?

if you can, find someone who can help you.
use a DMM to measure voltage at the fuse holders and at the distribution, and at the amp terminals. verify voltage at the amp battery and remote.

take pics of your connections - battery, fuseholder, distribution, amplifier. close up, non blurry please. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

its ok guys im just a failure of a self-installer lol i just had an improper ground. But its all working now and ill put up some pics once i finish the job. Just gotta attach the MDF cutout to my back seat then mount my amps and wire subs. Might tap some neon lights into the amp power sources and light up the trunk too. I PLAN on replacing my shifter knob with an airflight joystick controller, and then wiring the buttons to the neons :) its doable just might take some creativity
