My friend has two older RF 100X2 amps, 1 is going to 4 speakers and 1 is going to a sub. They both have seperate 8 ga. wire going to them. Now were going to install a seperate 500w RMS mono sub amp (needs 4 ga power wire) on the sub and run both the 2 ch seperately to the front and rear speakers. So here are my options....

1. Run both 8 ga. to a fused dist. block and the have two 8 ga. going to the speaker amps and one 4 ga going to the amp.

2. Run a seperate 4 ga power wire for the amp and get a new postive battery terminal connector that will accept two 8 ga and one 4 ga.

3. Run a 4 ga. power wire into a Dist. block and then have two 8 ga. and one 4 ga coming out.

Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

For clarity, why not example 2 ? Example 2 is 2 ohm...my speakers are 4 ohm and amp uses less RMS wattage with the bridged 4 ohm full range...
