amp wiring kit

i just bought a new 4 gague amp kit

it came with a black remote ground wire

that my amp kit didnt come with before that is installed in my truck as of right now

what is this

and do i need it

cause i dont think i have one in right now

You should... unless your amp runs on magic.

The remote wire is a 12+v current that is turned on when the car is on 'ignition' or 'run'. AKA when your radio's on.

It tells the amp to turn on. If you have an amp now... you should have the remote wire. It should be coming from somewhere in your dash.

no i know what a remote wire is

this black wire came with my kit

and it says remote GROUND wire its black

i looked on some other forums

and said that you dont need to use

only when your having problems with sound or something
