amp wattage vs capacitor

Hey guys, quick question:

I've got a 98 F150 and I'm looking into getting a 1200 watt amp and a couple of 12's.

For now this is all I will be running, but I may upgrade/add to it all in the future. Would a 2.4-3 farad cap be too much?

currently I've got a pioneer 760 watt amp running 2 older crossfire 12's, with the stock alternator (~130amp). I've been looking into getting a bigger alternator but that'll cost $300-500 which is most of my budjet for the system.

any thoughts?

Go big or go home! If you plan on adding alot to it then you could use those. I guess it couldn't hurt to have a 3 farad cap with that system, it shouldn't hurt it.
