Amp Wattage Question

Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new to car audio and had an amp question.

I currently have an ALPINE MRX-M100 MONOBLOCK 1000 WATT at 2 ohms

and 1 Jl Audio 12W6v2-D4 rated 200-600w RMS

I want to listen to it as loud and safe as possible but I don't know how many watts I'm sending to it.

Does the Alpine amp only send 1000 watts if I max out the gain and max out the bass boost?

If I go only half way on each can I only send the sub woofer 500 watts max?

More like 2000 Watts jk your amp is never going to got constantly 1000 or even 1000 Watts unless it's a sine wave but even if its just a test tone after box rise yoy will see less than a 1000watts

Btw you dont want to set your gains just by ear and stay away from bass boost just have it off
