amp to subs help

so im pretty new to car audio, and im lost, bigtime lol. I have 2 15's coming and im going to box them together, and what i need to know is what kind of amp do i need? Do i use a mono block or a 2 channel?

ok so if i had a 1800 watt mono, would it divide that power between the two subs or would it stay the 1200w rms at 2ohms for both?

depends on how you wire it, what kind of subs do you have? what voice coils do they have?

since their dual 2 ohms you could wire them to 1 ohm and get a 1 ohm stable amp. (so keep your options open.) But that 1200w rms would go to both subs, meaning each would recieve 600 rms each give or take. But for a 15 just recieving 600 rms sounds kindy fishy, what brand you get?

yep thats them, theyre 700rms, 1400 peak watts

you cannot wire 2 dual 2 ohm subs for a final load of 1 ohm, only .5 or 2 ohms.. and 700x2 is 1400, not 1200

wire them to 2 ohms, find a amp that does about 1400 for those subs

kicker zx1500 would do you good, just set your gains right

uhh two dual 2 ohms would result in 0.5 ohm, 2 ohms, or 8 ohms...correct? unless im missing something?

taht amp is 1500, is it ok for your amp to put out more power than your subs can handle?
