Please help...
i have an Xsite 800 watt, one channel at 4 ohms amp running an Xsite 12" sub. I wired bass blockers into the stock door speakers, and the amp is running off the stock head unit of an '06 Ford F-150. The amp has a built in high/low converter as well that's been wired into the rear door speakers. The problem is that after about 3 inutes of working fine it goes into "protect mode" and stops working. I've checked ground, and even tried running a constant power supply (instead of the remote from the stock head unit). I can't figure why it keeps going into "protect" consistently after about 3 minutes. I've also unplugged the high/low converter just to see if it would run under plain power without actually doing anything, but again, it trips after 3 minutes into "protect." Anybody have any clue? The amp is brand new and never before used. thanks.
