amp to alpine cda-9825 wiring question

i just put in an alpine cda-9825 last night in my car. i hooked up my sub to it, and spliced the remote wire in with a blue wire on the harness.

the radio works fine... the sub plays well and everything, but when i switch to CD's, the sub doesnt play. the power led on the amp doesnt come on either.

i also hooked up another remote wire to an amp that is currently not working, so my question is, maybe i didnt get a good connection out of the sub amp's remote wire? is this the problem or could it be something else?

i actually did the same thing with my 9825 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, you hooked up to the antenna wire instead of the remote wire.

i believe the remote one is blue and white

switch it and it should fix your problem

you mean the one coming directly out of the headunit harness right? i think my car has another one..

scroll down to page 38 and it shows that the blue wire is for the power antenna lead

and the blue/white one is for the remote turn on.

so if you have it attached to the antenna (which it sounds like you do) switch it over and it should work.
