amp/subs wont work, tried everything

Alright so i have two 10 inch visonik subs and a visonik amp that i just installed in my car which is a 2007 corolla. Everytime i turn my car on, the amps light will go on and the subs will work for about 1 second, and then it all cuts out. Me and the person who has been helping me have checked and rechecked all of the wiring and everything we can think of and we cant figure out the problem. I am not very experienced with subs, but my friend says he doubts the subs themselves are the problem, and that my amp LOOKS fine, but hes not sure if it could be the problem or not. I already payed geek-squad like 90 bucks to put my deck alone in (kenwood if that matters?)and i am not eager to pay them even more money, so please, any help or advice would be awesome.

Did your buddy check the voltage at the amp? Where did you ge your power from? How did you connect for your ground, and where did you ground it? Where are you getting your signal to turn on the amp? These are the things I would check if you cam to my shop. I understand you hesitancy to go back to Best Buy(I had my pay adjusted with about 250 others in 2001 to make us all leave), but have you had any problems with the stereo install? Unless there prices have changed, if you have all the cables BB should only charge $69.99-$79.99 for the install of your amp and if there are any problems after that(with the install) they HAVE to fix it for free. There is also Car Toys in Colorado.

Okay. I will stay simple at first to try to troubleshoot your issues. I need to know a few things first.

Power:

Where do you have the power wire running to, fuse box or directly to the battery? What gauge wire re you using? Do you have the proper fuse on the power wire (s/b w/in 12 to 18 inches of the battery? Where do you have to ground connected to? Make sure it is a good ground and make sure it is metal to metal...scrape of any excess paint in order to get a good connection.

Subs: What is your amp rated to do s far as impedance (ohm rating)? What are your subs rated at (ohm)? How are they wired?
