I'll try and keep this short and sweet. This is my first time to deal with car audio and I'm trying to research on what I'll need before I buy everything.
I purchased 2 subs, 2x Blaupunkt THW1000 that have a 200w RMS @ 4 ohms.
Next I am looking at getting 2x Alpine SPR-69C 6x9s for my rear deck that operate at 100w RMS @ 4 ohms.
Now for the amp, I was wanting to get a 4 channel to power them all. A Boss Audio MR250.4 Marine was what I had in mind. It can run 100w RMS x4 @ 4 ohms.
This would power my rear speakers nicely but only have my subs running at 100w RMS of their full 200w RMS.
I have never installed a car audio system before or worked on one at all. My question is, is that underpowering the subs too much? Would they still have a decent kick to them without having their own amp? Down the road I plan on buying a 2nd one but atm I don't want to fork out the cash for 2 amps.
Any input would be appreciated.
