Amp Stopped Working And Smoked! Help Please

mona amps have 2 speaker output to like (silvercookie siad)allow user ease when wiring to the amp the posives are linked together and negatives also giving the amp a

MONO statis versus calling it a 2 channel amp so ease of explanation 2 2ohm inputs would equal 1 ohm at the amps output....

there wired to 1 ohm, the first choice of the 2 sub option that the one guy posted. You can see burn marks on the board behind the fuse, next to the circle of green red and copper wires. ill get pics for later. thanks

maybe the amp experienced low voltage and began accepting excessive current which burnt something inside.

Again, that would lead to wrong fuse....

So, what size fuse are you using?

It is possible they are SVC4's but I'm not fimiliar with Kickers coil options
it says in first post dual 4, besides i think the only single voice coil sub kicker makes is the comp, but i could be wrong, but i have never seen a single coil cvr

Thats still a 1ohm load. That is used for wiring options at the amp. Still presents a 1 ohm load at the amp. And a Mono 2ch huh?? Hook me up.

thats what i was trying to say, but couldnt think of the words

He was offering to buy a blown amp from you. Instead of being an assclown and flipping shit you could have made some money towards a new amp. Throw it in the trash if its so annoying.

thank you

Point being, if you ran it at a 1 ohm load bridge its most likely smoked, but the way it sounds you ran each channel at 2 ohm if I under stand correctly, but we need a model number to know exactly what amp it was.

arent hifonics amps 1 ohm stable anyway?

in conclusion, the op is a dumbass who doesnt know how to wire/support a system.

and is also a ******* who doesnt ralize opportunites that are given to him.

everyone is telling you what to check, and how to run tests, but your still saying no.

Smoke coming from any thing is a bad sign...But if I see smoke coming from any thing I assume the worst...Especially if you own it.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
I'v ran amps at lower ohm loads then there rated, And it never burnt out...There was probly a short or Hifonics pushed the easy button on ur amp
Why do you keep saying you did shit you know you didn't do? It doesn't make you cool to lie over the webs. Name an amp you ran at a lower rating? that 1200D you sent back to Jacob? That old Dynex amp you bought at Best Buy? Just stop trying to give advice.

OP, open the amp up as suggested and post pics. Someone should then look in and tell you what you're looking at. Also you may want to take this time to look into how good or bad your charging system is.
