Amp Recommendation

I've been looking at different kinds of subs, and I've found the one that seems like it fits what I want in a sub. I'm going with 2 10" Alpine Type R (I know there's a lot of people who don't like it, but I'm going for SQ more than SPL and am trying to keep the cost per sub below 125)

I've been told to get the JBL 600.1 amp to power them, but I am having trouble finding one. So, does anyone have any suggestions for another amp?

The subs are going in a sealed box (Once again, I know not a popular choice, but I'm too lazy to build one)

I'd like to keep the price of the amp below 200, and whichever amp you recommend, should I get the 2 or 4 ohm model, and how should I wire it (Series, parallel, or go **** yourself n00b?)

Thanks for any help. Oh, BTW, if you have another sub you'd like to suggest go ahead, just try to keep it within the price range from above.

What ohm are the Type R's ?

Most peeps go with a parallel setup for wiring

The type R comes in two models, 2 or 4 ohm

it depends on what amp u are going to get, any of these amps:

(1)--- the dual 4 ohm versions of the type-r wired to 2ohm each will work for this setup:......soundstream van gogh amp 600.2 (300x2 rms @2ohm) very good sounding amp.. i have the 800.2 and it sounds incredible.. very good sq amp $210 tho...: http://sonicelectronix.com/item_1000.html

this is what i could come up with in a few minutes... i highly recommend the soundstream amp for the price...

I installed a VGA 320.4 and 400.2

the new hifonics bx605 looks like a decent budget amp if you just want 600w. Its only 130 on ebay
