Amp Reccomendations for Memphis Mojo 12

Nope. Some people choose one over another. I just recently got a brand new battery from Costco, replacing my old Optima. It was 85 bucks and cheaper than what auto parts stores offer.

So as long as your sub has it's own nice battery, it doesn't matter what your engine battery is?

Yup, this. And...I wouldn't go below mfgr recommendation for a specific battery.

Well Yeah I'd obviously get a battery that works well for my engine. I was just wondering if it mattered audio-wise what your engine battery is.

I'm confused on amp selections. For example, one of the few recommendations I got was for an Orion XTR2500.1D. This amp does 2500w rms at 1ohm, but 1600w rms at 2ohm. Since my sub is 1800w rms at 2 ohms, wouldn't that amp be under-powering my sub, since it only does 1600w rms at 2 ohms?

the xtr 2500 does over 3krms it's rated very low and at 12.6v instead of 14.4 like most amps and u want tad more power (or twice as much) so u can get gain low run clean power to it..

oh i didn't explain the 2 ohm of it all., the 2500 probably does over 2k @ 2ohm (maybe 2200 or so).. the 1500 tested at almost 2200 @1 ohm they seem to do 20-25% more than rated here's bigblanks test (he's on here)
