anybody have any thing to say about the poweracoustik bamf4000.1d? i know it won't do rated they have gut shots on the site, not to shabby looking.

i dont run SA or AQ. never have. I have a friend who had that amp though and it was always running hot within 45 minutes of playing! Just try a nicer used amp

i won't be getting anything until after the first of the year, just trying to find a decent amp with about 800-1000 watts at 2ohms for about $250 needs to be very efficient. what about the rubi 1000d, any comments?

With That budget u actually have alot of options. Kicker zx750.1, kicker zx1000.1, Boston acoustics Gta 800m, Boston Gta 1000m.

I got my current 750.1 practically new on CL for $100

i have looked at the boston gta 1000m and the kicker zx750. would like the freq response to be lower that 25 hertz on the kicker, my only draw back. doesn't power acoustik own soundstream or soundstream own power acoustik? in reference to dirty power remark.

The subsonic filter can be turned off with the flip of a switch. I know mine is. Lol

yes power acoustik does own soundstream ,but they still aren't that bad .if i had a choice od the ss amps tho i'd go with the reference ones.they still have the butterworth crossovers i believe

You'll be happier buying a quality piece of equipment. It'll perform better, be less likely to fail, and have some re-sale value if/when you want to sell it or upgrade. I'd use Audiopipe over Power Accoustic. Keep an eye on the JBL/Harmon Kardon/Infinity ebay store. They sell some nice amps from time to time as factory refurb and can be had for cheap if you snipe auctions. They make a reasonably good product and you get it right from the manufacturer with full warranty. I picked up a JBL 1200.1 on there last year for a friend for around 120$ shipped.
