Amp Question For Jl's

i have 2 jl 12 w6's, dual voice coil, 6 ohm, 300 watts rms a piece, would the hifonics bx1000d be a good choice for these subs if i wire them at 1.5 ohms??? just making sure before i go ahead with the purchase. Thanks

I think that would be a good set-up. That amp should put out 750 rms at 1.5 ohms @ 14.4 volts. What it really depends on is your box size and type. If those subs are going in a large enclosure then that 750watts could eventually take its toll.

well it is in a relativley small sealed enclosure maybe around 3 cubic feet if i remember correctly. Was thinking about building a ported box as soon as i get a new car. thanks
