Amp protect mode at higher volume

I just Installed a totally new system in my truck today. Due to a small cab pickup, I'm limited in my equipment options and small speakers in the dash.

Pioneer AEH-X6700BS

Rockford Prime R600X5

JBL GTO 629's & 429's

JL CP108LG W3V3

KNUKNOCEPTZ all the way around

Stinger 4000 6ch RCA's

So while testing it out, as I pass Mid-30's on volume the Amp will switch to protect mode and resume after the volume is down to 30 again. Checked with a DMM and have 12.48 while on ACC. and 13.7 with engine running. Checked while turning up the volume and there's no voltage drop at the B+ and Neg. terminal. Ground to the seatbelt bolt, paint scrapped and metal exposed with a rotary tool, so it's not a grounding or power issue.

The gain, crossovers and bass boost are all still at 0, I haven't started tuning yet, just wanted to make sure everything is working before I start reassembling the interior. All connectors have been crimped and soldered except on the amp terminals where the are just soldered ends. Want to see what else I need to check.

do you have the front 4 channels hooked up in 4 channel mode, or are you bridged in 2 channel mode, running 2 sets of speakers on each channel??

And you do realize that with that sub/amp combo, you are only getting about 150rms tops to your sub .....

Sorry, I was outside messing with it. Yes, running everything on 4 channels, sub on it's own channel, no bridged connections. I'm not looking to rattle the neighborhood, I just want some good low end bass to round off the system and take the strain off the front speakers

well, your front speakers are 3 ohms each. That amp should be 2 ohm stable in 4 ch mode, so that shouldn't be causing an issue ... thought maybe you had it bridged ..... then it would be an issue ...

Everything is running standard, no bridging set up. Might not be a problem with all the doors closed, 25 seems to be the loudest I'd play it at anyways. Still I would like to make sure everything is set properly.
