Amp problems

Im having problems with my pyramid 240 watt 2 channel amp. I have it running my 2 rear 6x9 speakers. Whenever i have my car turned off it works fine. But when i turn it on im getting some wierd high pitched noise and it wont play. I have the power, remote, and audio cables bundled up going to the front. The ground is on the chassis a couple feet from the amp. And the speakers are hooked directly up to the amp. Could someone please tell me how to fix this because I am baffled. I think it is some kind of interferance but I dont know how to get rid of it.

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

This tested well on youtube - not familiar with the brand but it is a pretty standard china build house amplifier...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
