Amp Problem

I installed my new system and i'm still having the same problem I had when I took the old one out.

I have to turn the gain all the way up to get the amp to push any real power.

I havent took my dmm out and checked but that sx is barly moving. the only thing I can think of is the output voltage of my cd player isnt 8 volts or a bad ground.

are you setting the gains with the volume at zero? You should be setting them where the head unit begins to clip or roughly 75-80%

i am setting them higher than listening volume.

right now ive got the gain turned to the 3 oclock postion and its pushing about 35 volts ac
