I have a kenwood kac 9103d mono amp putting out 900w rms- and 2 dual 2 ohm 12" type r's. I have 0/1 gauge kicker wire which goes into the distro blocks and 4 gauge going to the amps. also have an alpine mrp f250 .but don't have a problem with it just the amp for my subs. what will happen is after playing my music for about 3 minutes or so, my sub amp will shut off....then about 2 minutes later my subs kick back in. Please help...this is very annoying.

Is there a red protection light that lights up on the amp. Could be overheating and going into protection mode and coming back on when it cools down.

oh, i forgot to mention i also have my 2 farad cap grounded into the ground block. should i give the cap a chasis ground instead of grounding it in the block?
