amp problem

I just set up my new RF x6 and i blew a 100A fuse i changed the fuse with an 80 A because thats all autozone carried and my subs do not play the amp light is on but its really dim and flickers...any one know anything i should try..is the 80A fuse to small or is it maybe i have a 4 guage changing into an 8 guage power wire im really confused and new thanks
