AMP problem

I have an alpine 600 watt v12 mono amp powering an alpine type R 10, an alpine 2 chanel amp powering 2 interior speakers and an alpine head unit. Well the problem is the fuse on the power wire for the mono amp blew and i replaced it, now every time i turn the volume up past 14-16 it shuts it off and flashes CUR.I dont realy know much about car audio stuff but any help would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like you either have the gain up too high or more likely the sub is damaged internally and is presenting a low impedance load to the amp. The resulting current draw is enabling the overcurrent protection of the amp and shutting it down. Test the sub.
