Amp problem

I have a viper 1200d amp and it was working fine until the other day. First I blew the fuse on the power wire(80A). I replaced that and expected everything to run fine afterwards. Only thing is my amp stays in protection or the power and portection lights flicker on and off, whenever it receives power; The lights in my dash flicker on and off so I know the Amp is pulling power still. I took it apart and there was no burn smell or fried parts. Everything looked clean. The amp fuses were all intact and fine. I was thinking it could be a ground problem so I relocated the ground and its still not working properly. Help would most definitly be appreciated instead of this heated paper weight.

The remote turn on lead from the HU could be screwed, try running a jumper from the power input on the amp to the remote on input and see if it will turn on that way, if it does then the voltage from the remote on is not strong enough to signal the amp to turn on.

I just did that and no luck.. My amp just goes straight into protection and all the lights in my car flicker on and off.... So i know my amp is drawing current but its too much. It just goes straight into protection. I don't think its blown because its still drawing current //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif . I know that some1 has had to have a similar experience so help would be welcome......... Oh and about changing to ANL fuses. i don;t think it would help since I haven't blown the fuses that came with the amp
