Amp problem thought id post up before ruling bad amp

Used all this same electrical before with different amp. all was good. Hooked up my new amp and sub starts playing LOUD static without rcas connected. Turn key off and back on that has stopped but now the amp will turn the power and protect lights on and then off and keep repeating this no matter how i hooked it up. checked all my connections all seemed good any other ideas?
